The Bay Islands

This is a group of three Islandas off the coast of Honduras in the Caribbean. The largest of these is Roatán followed by Guanaja and then Utila. These islands are a tourist attraction because of the coral reefs, variety of fishes of beautiful colors, facilities of scuba diving and snorkeling. Further off the coast you will see and love the playful dolphins.
There are good hotels in the three islands and restaurants where you can taste good lobster, fish, and shrimp however you like it. Caribbean cruises stop in Roatan, but you can also get there using the TACA or Continental airlines from Los Angeles or Miami.
The Bay Islands used to be an English colony until 1861 when they were returned to the Honduras Republic. The local population is of mixed African descent and the majority speaks English and Spanish. Their favorite music is Reggae.
